GIS Electro Dunes

Genersol supplied the first 220 kV GIS bay—featuring a double-busbar configuration—for the Independencia Substation project in Peru.
Genersol is strengthening the region's energy infrastructure through projects involving high technical complexity. Today, we highlight the work at the **Independencia Substation**, where our team led the supply and will carry out the installation of a 220 kV GIS line bay.
This project presented both engineering and logistical challenges. GIS bays are modular units comprising voltage transformers, current transformers, line and busbar disconnectors, and a circuit breaker.
Key project milestones:
- Installed Capacity: The supply included a total of 2 line bays, designed to operate with a rated current of 2000 A.
- State-of-the-art GIS Technology: We implemented gas-insulated solutions that ensure greater reliability in confined spaces and demanding environmental conditions.
- Installation and Commissioning: We will carry out electromechanical installation, SF6 gas tightness tests, and high-voltage testing, ensuring safe operation in compliance with international standards.

On this occasion, we supplied eighty-seven items totaling over $700,000, ranging from: T48 Thermocouples, High Pressure Injection Pump, HPB60 Hydraulic Pressure Booster, Speed Sensor, to Nuts and Gaskets. All equipment met our client's technical requirements.

Valves for Siemens and MHI Turbines

In 2022, ENEL executed a tender process for the acquisition of valves with actuators. They wanted to buy valves from renowned brands such as Eagle Industry, Durco, Velan, Newco, Powell, PBV, in sizes ranging from 2” to 24” and class specifications extending from 150 to 2,500.
Following the competitive tender, a long term agreement was formalized with GENERSOL, who already delivered a batch in 2023, and have an ongoing production for a new batch.
On this occasion, GENERSOL once again demonstrated its technical capability by working together with Central Costanera in defining each of the valves to be quoted, as they involved different brands, materials, sizes, series, type of actuator, etc.
It also demonstrated its financial capacity by undertaking a 3-year contract for over U$S 2.5 million in an environment of total economic uncertainty and financing needs as demanded by the Argentine market in 2022 and today.

Supply of a BRUSH BDAX7 Generator rotor
Client Proelectrica – Colombia – Year 2018
In 2018 we supplied a new rotor for the BRUSH BDAX7 generator that was manufactured in Brush Czech Republic and transported by air to Colombia with a stopover in Germany.
When passing through Germany, the rotor was inspected by German customs, where due to a bad practice by the customs officer, when cutting the packaging, the same damage was done to the rotor exciter winding.
This situation caused that upon arrival in Colombia it was necessary to disassemble the exciter, take it to the Brush workshop in Pittsburgh and repair it.
500 kV power transformers

We have supplied 2 three-phase banks 425 MVA reserve in 500 kV, these being the largest transformers installed in Uruguay.
They have gas monitoring and fiber optics to detect hot spots, as well as an integrated monitoring system.
Our company participated in the design, the design review, the factory tests, international and national transport, unloading, assembly and commissioning.
